Sunshine Plaza expansion set to get green light

The Sunshine Coast Daily today reported that the Sunshine Plaza extension is recommended for approval at the Sunshine Coast Council Meeting, to be held at the chambers in Tewantin this Thursday morning 28th March 2013. The proposal has over 9,000sq meters above the 28,000sq meter limits set by the Sunshine Coast Regional Councils Planning Scheme. This will be an interesting decision, and if approved by the new Sunshine Coast Council will show a dramatic shift in sentiment from the Bob Abbot lead council which supported population capping and limited development, towards job creation and development as its main focus.
